Some apps (payroll, marketplaces, brokerages, etc.) can connect to your GrabrFi account in two ways:
Automatic: via a secure bank-linking flow powered by Plaid.
Manual: by entering your routing and account numbers and confirming small “micro-deposits.”
Both options are explained below, plus troubleshooting.
Connect automatically: Plaid
Many services use Plaid Link to connect bank accounts. In those apps you’ll see a “Search for your bank” screen. If you see GrabrFi in the list, choose it and follow the prompts. Plaid is an industry-standard flow used by thousands of apps to connect accounts securely.
How to connect automatically
In the external app, go to Add/Link bank (wording varies).
When the Plaid screen opens, select Continue and search for GrabrFi.
Follow the on-screen steps to sign in and approve sharing your account (you will be redirected to GrabrFi to authenticate).
Choose the specific account to share (e.g., your USD checking).
You’ll see a confirmation that the account was linked successfully.

What’s happening behind the scenes: Plaid handles the secure connection and data transfer; the external app receives only the data you approve.
Tip: If GrabrFi doesn’t appear in the search or the app doesn’t use Plaid, use Option 2 below.
Connect manually: routing & account numbers and micro-deposits
If the external app offers “Link with account numbers” or “Manual link,” you can connect using your GrabrFi routing and account numbers and verify with micro-deposits.
Where to find your details in GrabrFi
Open the GrabrFi app → Checking Account → Account details → copy your Routing Number and Account Number.
How to connect manually
In the external app, choose Link with account numbers (or similar).
Enter your GrabrFi routing and account numbers carefully.
Wait for micro-deposits to arrive in your GrabrFi account (typically 1–2 business days; some services support same-day or near-instant verification).
Return to the external app to verify either:
the two small deposit amounts, or
a short code in the deposit description (often a 6-character code like “SMxxxx”).
The app confirms your account is linked.
Heads up: Some platforms limit verification attempts (for example, amount-entry usually has a small number of tries). If you exceed the limit, you may need to restart or contact that app’s support.
How long does linking and the first transfer take?
Linking via Plaid: usually completes in seconds once you authenticate.
Manual linking with micro-deposits: 1–2 business days is common; some providers now verify same day or even within minutes using faster rails.
Transfers after linking: many apps send ACH transfers that clear in ~0–3 business days (exact timing depends on the other app).
Troubleshooting
I don’t see GrabrFi in the Plaid search.
Not every app’s bank directory is identical. If GrabrFi doesn’t appear, pick Link with account numbers and use the micro-deposit method.
The Plaid window won’t load or errors out.
Close and reopen the app, ensure a stable internet connection, and try again. Plaid also lists common fixes (VPNs, pop-up blockers, MFA issues) here.
I never received the micro-deposits.
Give it 1–2 business days; if nothing arrives, confirm your routing/account numbers and re-start the manual link in the external app. Some providers time-out the verification if you don’t complete it within their window.
My verification failed.
Small entry mistakes are common. Double check the amounts or descriptor code exactly as shown in your GrabrFi transaction list. If you run out of attempts, contact that app’s support to reset.
Safety & privacy
You control what you share. During Plaid linking you’ll see what data the app is requesting before you approve.
You can unlink access from within the external app at any time; unlinking there stops new data sharing. (The app’s past records remain with them.)
Quick checklist
✅ Use Plaid when available for the fastest link.
✅ Otherwise choose Link with account numbers and verify micro-deposits.
✅ For manual linking, keep an eye on your GrabrFi transaction history for two small deposits or a 1¢ deposit with a short code.
