Which countries can you receive SWIFT transfers from?

You can receive US dollars by SWIFT into your Global account from banks in 119 countries and territories. Your own country of residence doesn't matter: what counts is the country of the bank that sends the money.

To get paid, open Add money → From a bank abroad (or Get paid → International transfer) and share your SWIFT details with the sender. The sender's bank must be in one of the countries below.

Before the sender pays

  • Send US dollars only. Transfers in other currencies aren't supported.
  • There's no IBAN. If the sender's bank asks for one, use the account number from your SWIFT details.
  • Some countries need extra details, such as a purpose of payment or an invoice number. Ask the sender to check with their bank. A transfer without the required details may be delayed or returned.
  • Who can pay you: personal accounts under your name, and businesses paying you for work or services.
  • Fees: intermediary banks may charge their own fees, so you may receive less than was sent. Our fee for incoming SWIFT transfers is shown on the SWIFT details screen, under Fees and limits. All fees are listed in the Full schedule of fees.
  • Limits: see Global Account transfer limits.
