Transfer to Anyone – Frequently Asked Questions

What is Transfer to Anyone?
Transfer to Anyone lets you send money to someone even if they don’t yet have a GrabrFi account. The funds are held securely until the recipient claims them.

How does the recipient receive the money?
If the recipient already has a GrabrFi account, they can claim the funds immediately.
If they don’t have an account, they’ll need to sign up and complete identity verification (KYC) before receiving the funds.

How long does the recipient have to claim the transfer?
The recipient has 20 days to claim the transfer. If it’s not claimed within this period, the funds are automatically returned to the sender.

What happens if the recipient doesn’t complete sign up or fails verification?
If the recipient doesn’t finish onboarding or does not pass KYC verification within the claim period, the transfer is canceled and the funds are returned to the sender.

Can I cancel a transfer?
Yes. You can cancel a transfer at any time before the funds are credited to the recipient’s account. Once the recipient claims the funds, the transfer can’t be reversed.

Can someone else claim the transfer?
No. Once a recipient starts the claim process, the transfer is locked to their account to prevent anyone else from claiming it.

Are there fees or limits?
Yes. The same fees and transfer limits that apply to internal transfers on GrabrFi also apply to Transfer to Anyone.

Will I be notified about the transfer status?
Yes. Both the sender and the recipient receive notifications when the transfer is claimed, canceled, or expires.
