You do not have to upgrade. You can withdraw your money and stop using GrabrFi instead.
What is not possible is keeping your current checking account. Regent Bank is ending the checking account program, so the account closes on October 1, 2026 either way.
How to withdraw your money
Withdraw your balance to an external account before September 24, 2026. To do this, do not accept the upgrade terms, and follow the withdrawal steps in the app. If you need help, contact support@grabrfi.com
If you do nothing
If you have not upgraded or withdrawn by September 24, 2026, your account is frozen on that date. You can still upgrade in the app until October 1, 2026.
If money is still in your checking account when it closes, we return it to you by check, mailed to the address we have on file:
If your remaining balance is $20.00 or more, a $20.00 account closure fee applies and we send you the rest.
If your remaining balance is less than $20.00, the whole balance is applied as the closure fee and nothing is returned.
Because the check is posted, make sure your mailing address is correct in Profile and Settings before your account closes.
Can I come back later?
Yes. You can open a global account at any time in the app.
